๐Ÿ” Data Security

RPIT Computer Services
treats data security as a core part of service delivery. This page explains how client data and systems are protected while working with RPIT.

What we protect

  • Contact details (name, phone, email) used to provide support.
  • Project files, system configurations, and service credentials shared during work.
  • Backups and archived deliverables created during projects.

How we protect it

  • ๐Ÿ” Access control โ€” Only verified RPIT staff assigned to the job get access to client systems and data.
  • ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Encryption โ€” Remote sessions, file transfers, and client portals use SSL/TLS encryption.
  • ๐Ÿงพ Logging & audits โ€” Critical operations are logged and reviewed periodically to detect anomalies.
  • ๐Ÿ” Secure backups โ€” Backups are stored with encryption and strict access rules; retention is limited to business need.
  • ๐Ÿงฐ Device hygiene โ€” RPIT systems follow patching, antivirus, and endpoint management procedures.

Third-party tools

When using remote-access or monitoring tools, RPIT uses trusted vendors only. Temporary access tokens are used; access is revoked after the work is complete.

Incident response

  • โš ๏ธ If a security incident is detected, RPIT triggers a contained response: isolation, investigation, and remediation.
  • ๐Ÿ“ฃ Clients are informed promptly with facts and recommended next steps.

Data sharing & consent

RPIT does not sell or share client data to third parties without prior written consent. Any necessary subcontracting (for specialized services) is disclosed in advance.
